Do you have fond memories of Bekonscot Model Village? Have generations of your family visited over the years? Did Bekonscot inspire a love of railways? If the answer to any of these questions is “yes”….. we want to hear from you.
The inaugural Buckinghamshire Culture Open Weekend will be held between 22-25 July 2021 with a theme of “Stories”. As part of the celebration Bekonscot would like to compile a collection of stories and memories from our 15 million plus visitors over the last 90 years.
If you have a special memory or an interesting story about Bekonscot, as a visitor or as a member of staff, then please get in touch or submit your story using our online submission form.
Stories will be collected over the summer months with a selection being displayed at Bekonscot over the weekend of 24-25 July. We then hope to collate all the stories and memories into a book which will be available later in the year. As well as your lovely stories we are also approaching some of our more famous visitors for their memories of Bekonscot.
If you have photographs that you give permission for us to reproduce please include them with your story. Hard copies will be digitised and returned to you.
