We welcome home educated pupils to the village throughout the year on an individual basis, but we also offer specific days during the season dedicated to Home Ed Groups.
If visiting on an individual basis outside of our specific Home Ed Days, then normal admission prices apply. To enhance your visit you can make use of the downloadable workbooks and activity books from our school package which provide simple spotter guides and quizzes as well as subject specific tasks to carry out whilst in the village. Measuring and observation equipment can be borrowed free of charge but must be reserved in advance. Please email cathy@bekonscot.co.uk for more details.
On our Home Ed days we provide a series of workshops on a particular theme, tailored to different age groups. Workshops are interactive and may involve role play, object handling or practical activities. Prior to your visit you will be sent further information about workshop content as well as downloadable resources that can be used as you tour the Model Village. Numbers for the workshops are strictly limited to 15, therefore pre-booking and payment in advance is essential.
