Pushchairs and wheelchairs

All the facilities onsite, with the exception of the elevated walkway, are fully accessible to wheelchair users and small mobility scooters. Disabled toilets and changing facilities are available near the tea room.

Two wheelchairs are available for free hire – ask at the Entrance on entry.
Wheelchairs can be pre-booked if preferred.

Paths and walkways are easily accessible; however, the elevated walkway has stair access only.
Although some of the paths through the village are quite narrow, there are routes through with adequate space for pushchairs that seat two children side-by-side.

There is also a “buggy park” for you to leave them safely to one side whilst you walk around.

 

Dogs

Only assistance dogs are allowed onsite. Other dogs, whatever their size, are not permitted. We apologise to dog-owners for this necessary restriction to allow all visitors to make the most of Bekonscot.

 

Sunflower lanyards

We encourage visitors who may need additional assistance to wear your sunflower lanyards in Bekonscot so that our staff and fellow visitors can do our best to assist. Do let a member of staff know anytime you would welcome assistance.
