We will be running our second themed day especially for home educated pupils on Wednesday 14th September. The theme for this day will be “Life in the 1930’s”.
As well as entry to the model village, tickets will include a themed and age appropriate workshop. Please ensure that you book the correct workshop for the age of your children, unfortunately I cannot accept younger children than the age stated. Numbers attending the workshop are limited. An interactive show where we discover what it was like to travel by plane, train and automobile in the 1930s.
Capacity – 25 children.
11.30 – 12.30 Age 7 – 9
Homelife in the 1930s
An interactive show that showcases the lives of those living in two different communities in Bekonscot, followed by the opportunity to have a go at some traditional crafts.
Capacity – 15 children
2.00 – 3.30pm Aged 9+
Toys and Games
An interactive activity comparing toys from the 1930s to those used today, followed by the opportunity to play with and re-create a selection of traditional games.
