School bursaries for visits to Bekonscot Model Village
The Roland Callingham Foundation, the charity that operates Bekonscot, has allocated £2000 of funding to support schools in bringing a group of pupils to visit the Model Village. We are therefore offering 10 bursaries of £200 to individual schools that have not visited Bekonscot in recent years or those who would find the cost of a trip prohibitive.
At a cost of £7 per pupil, a bursary visit includes entry to the village, a curriculum based workshop for FS or KS1 plus a free train ride for up to 30 pupils. Therefore with a £200 bursary contribution a group of 30 pupils plus 6 adults would only pay £10! You are of course welcome to bring more than 30 pupils but the bursary donation would not exceed £200 and the train ride would be charged at a cost of £1 per pupil (£1.50 from Feb 2020).
Bursary visits must take place in September/October 2019 or February/March 2020 and bursaries will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
