As part of Beaconsfield Town Council’s celebrations to mark the centenary of the end of World War 1, Bekonscot presents a series of activities commemorating the people, places and events of the Great War.

COMMEMORATIVE TRAIL
A guided trail around the village featuring a number of specially created models. Learn more about the story of the Great War with our souvenir booklets linked to the trail – adult and children’s versions available.

EXHIBITION
An exhibition of stories featuring local people and places and their role in WW1 along with handling artefacts and children’s role play. Make a miniature poppy and help us to create a memorial garden in the grounds of the village.

CELEBRATION WEEKEND 27th – 28th OCTOBER
Join is for the culmination of the Bekonscot Remembers project. Live historical re-enactors will be onsite bringing to life the roles of the Tommy and the Field Nurse. Take part in an army drill or try your hand at some first aid.
