School Visits
Depicting rural England in the 1930s, Bekonscot is an ideal place to combine education with fun; more than 100 schools visit annually. Bekonscot offers a unique and stimulating teaching aid for nursery, infant and junior children with wide application to the curriculum. The students will find every detail fascinating — even down to the mortar-boards on our own period model teachers.
We aim to give a fun and stimulating educational visit, whilst giving you the resources and peace of mind for a safe and interactive trip which will give you much to talk about in the classroom (and staffroom too).
Education packs are designed to give an insight to life in the 1930s and to fire the children’s imagination. The packs include work sheets with ideas for lesson plans including preview and follow-up work to be done in the classroom, and a comprehensive Health and Safety Risk Assessment.
A quiz is also included in the pack, which can be downloaded from the link below. Our souvenir shop has numerous items under £1.00; you can download a price list to enable pre-ordering for your group below too.
