Huge Summer Fun Day alert!
Visit us on 5th August 2009 for a huge family fun day with falconry, train rides on the Light Railway, vintage side shows, entertainers and mini carousel. We’re celebrating our 80th anniversary as the world’s oldest model village. And of course the model railway and the hundreds of models will be working too!
We open the gates at 10am and close at 5pm. Normal entry prices apply. We and the little Bekonians hope to see you here!

I was lucky enough to find this fabulous day out on netmums, but for people living outside the area it's not very well known. To be honest i think i'm more excited than my 5 year old child and he's wreally really excited x See you tomorrow Bekonscot!!!!!!!

Well the visitors are all piling in now - it's starting to get busy here... and the Light Railway is already carrying at capacity!

I along with my Son in Law and three of my Grandsons had a fabulous on 5th August, it was such a special return for me because my last visit was in 1954 when I was 10, the staff were very curtious and helpful, then to experience the Falconry display and learn about the birds was fantastic, thankyou Bekonscot.

Have just visited courtesy of UKTV in New Zealand which transmitted "Small Mercies", the Midsomer Murder episode four days before the UK screening next Wednesday! I was reminded of the model village which used to delight me at Ramsgate during the 1960s, gone alas for forty years or more.
