Bekonscot Shop open for Christmas gifts

Published on 01 October 2010 by Tim. 7 comments »

Update: The shop and Bekonscot are now closed for Christmas. We reopen on Saturday 19th February 2011.

For the first time in 81 years, we’re pleased to announce that our gift shop will be open to the public running up to Christmas. Located in the entrance to Bekonscot Model Village in Warwick Road, Beaconsfield New Town, the Bekonscot gift shop is stocked full of great value presents and stocking fillers.

The shop, housed in a full-sized railway carriage, will be open weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 10am to 4:30pm, 1st November to 23rd December inclusive.

There’s no entry fee; just walk in from Warwick Road.

Do pop in and see us - many items are discounted too!

Please note: the model village itself will not be accessible during this period as annual maintenance and engineering works are underway.

Hadn't visited the Model Village for over 30 years when our children were young. Last year we took our Grandson George, then aged 18 months, twice and he loved it. Our grown up children enjoyed it too, they always had happy memories of Bekonscot and we all thought it was better than ever. George loved the model village and got very excited watching all the different trains going in and out of the tunnels and stopping at the stations, there was so much to see. He had lots of fun at the playground and of cause he adored the train ride. We can't wait till the 19th of February when you open again. :)
