Bekonscot now open for 2011
We’re open again now every day, 10am to 5pm - right up to and including 30th October 2011.
As ever, we’ve made some changes to make your visit to our miniature world even more special: the Bekonscot Light Railway now gives rides EVERY DAY of the open season (small extra charge), and we’ve a brand new TEA ROOM, with indoor seating for those rainy days.
Come and see for yourself!

I USED TO BE TREATED TO A VISIT TO THE MODEL VILLAGE REGULARLY AS A BOY IN THE EARLY 1960'S. A FRIEND VISITED LAST WEEK AND COULDNT BELIEVE THAT SHE HAD NEVER BEEN BEFORE,AND HOW MUCH FUN HER AND HER GRANDSONS HAD. THIS EVOKED SOME LOVELY MEMORIES AND NOW I AM PLANNING TO VISIT WITH MY GRANDCHILDREN.

I am planning to take my grandchildren (7 & 5) to the Village next Friday (weather permitting). I am looking forward to it, as I was their age in the 1950s' when I last came. Has it changed, I wonder? The model railway with trains in the green livery of the then BR Southern Region are what I remember particularly.

Beckonscot is cool in 2011!
I VISITED THE MODEL VILLAGE ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO AND IT WAS SUCH AN ENJOYABLE DAY. A VERY NICE PLACE TO TAKE YOUR FAMILY FOR A GOOD DAY OUT AND GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY FOR WHAT YOU SEE AND DO.I AM HOPEING TO MAKE ANOTHER VISIT IN MAY AND SHOULD BE ANOTHER ENJOYABLE VISIT.
