Welcome to Bekonscot - the World’s oldest model village. We are now OPEN EVERY DAY from 10am-5pm for a big day out you’ll never forget. Hilarious, eccentric, exceptionally English, full of big model trains and crammed with thousands of little model people, houses and moving stuff, it’s time you made a visit.

New things for 2010 include a brand new adventure playground and a model football pitch - and ongoing work on our new model quarry and brickworks.

Over the years we've made quite a few films of the model village. Well, we would, wouldn't we? Lots of people have made their own films too. Below are our favourites, but you'll find even more in History.

Bekonscot is the perfect fun eductional trip; more than 100 schools visit us annually and most of them repeat visits. The model village is a unique and stimulating teaching aid for nursery, infant and junior children with wide application to the curriculum.

So that it's fun for you too, we have lesson plans, activity sheets and online resources all ready for you to use.

Huge Summer Fun Day alert!

Visit us on 5th August 2009 for a huge family fun day with falconry, train rides on the Light Railway, vintage side shows, entertainers and mini carousel. We’re celebrating our 80th anniversary as the world’s oldest model village. And of course the model railway and the hundreds of models will be working too!
